Sylvan Infant School
In July 2013, Year 2 children and Year 3 children will transfer to middle school. We are planning to ensure a great send off for both year groups and ensure that the transition process is a smooth and happy one for all children.
On Thursday 4 July current Year 3 children will have their transition day whereby all children will attend their new school for the whole day (your child should go straight to their new school). Details of the day will be sent by their new school.
On Friday 5 July current Year 2 children will have their transition day whereby all children will attend their new school for the whole day (your child should go straight to their new school). In September 2013, we will have 4 classes of children in EYFS (Chestnut, Elm, Holly and Rowan) and 5 classes in Y1 and Y2.
If your child is starting EYFS in Sept 13 you will receive a letter from us week beginning 13 May to confirm your child's place with us, what class they are in and the name of their Teacher. Our Little Stars afternoons will take place on Tuesday 18 June and Wednesday 19 June 1.45 - 2.45 pm (depending on which class your child is in) and a 1 to 1 meet the Teacher session individually on 1, 2, 3 or 5 July for 15 minutes.
Our uniform will stay the same colour and children can continue to wear Sylvan First School Uniform and use Sylvan First School book bags. Our new uniform will have Sylvan Infant School as the logo.
